Wi-Fi Router


Below are the Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server settings required to keep email working on various devices.


Incoming Mail Server

  1.  mail.citizens-tel.net
  2.  Port 993
  3.  Encryption Method SSL/TSL

 
Outgoing Mail Server 

  1. mail.citizens-tel.net
  2.  Port 465
  3.  Encryption Method SSL/TSL


Desktop or Laptop Computer


Below are several programs used to access email on a computer. Find the program you use and follow the steps to change the information.

 Outlook 2010

  1.  From the File menu, select "Info" and choose "Account Settings."
  2.  Select your Email account and click the "Change" button.
  3.  Click the "More Settings..." button in the bottom-right corner of the E-Mail Accounts window.
  4. Incoming Settings:
  5.  Username: Enter your email address Ex: myemail@email.com
  6.  Password: Enter the password for your email account
  7.  Server: mail.citizens-tel.net | Port 993
  8.  Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  9.  Server timeouts: 1 minute
  10.  In the Internet Email Settings window, click the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  11. Make sure the Outgoing mail is set to:
  12. Server: mail.citizens-tel.net | Port 465
  13. Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  14. Server timeouts: 1 minute
  15.  Verify the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked and "use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.

 

Outlook365

  1.  From the File menu, select "Info" and choose "Account Settings."
  2.  Select your Email account and click the "Repair" button.
  3.  Open Advanced options and check the "Let me repair my account manually" box. Click repair.
  4.  Make sure Incoming mail is set to:
  5.  Username: Enter your email address Ex: myemail@email.com
  6.  Password: Enter the password for your email account
  7.  Server: mail.citizens-tel.net | Port 993
  8.  Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  9. Click the "Outgoing mail” arrow.
  10. Make sure Outgoing mail is set to:
  11.  Server: mail.citizens-tel.net | Port 465
  12.  Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  13.  Server timeouts: 1 minute
  14.  Verify the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked and "use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.

 

Thunderbird

  1.  Select the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the Thunderbird application. Then select Account Settings.
  2.  To change your Incoming Server settings, select Server Settings underneath your email address. Then make the following changes:

  4.  Hostname: mail.citizens-tel.net
  5.  Port 993
  6.  Connection Security: SSL/TLS
  7.  Authentication Method: Normal Password
  8.  Username: Enter your email address Ex: myemail@email.com 
  9. To change your Outgoing Server settings, select Outgoing Server on the left-hand side. Edit the existing configuration.
  10.  Hostname: mail.citizens-tel.net
  11.  Port 587
  12.  Connection Security: SSL/TLS
  13.  Authentication Method: Normal Password
  14.  Username: Enter your email address Ex: myemail@email.com 

Apple iPhone/iPad


  1.  Tap on Settings.
  2.  Select Mail then Accounts and select the email address.
  3.  Tap Account and select SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server.
  4.  Tap Primary Server.
  5.  Tap on Authentication and select Password. Tap Done.

Android Smartphones/Tablets


  1. Open email
  2.  Click menu (three lines)
  3.  Click setting icon in the top right corner.
  4.  Under Accounts, click on your email address.
  5.  At the bottom of the screen click on “Server Settings”
  6.  Change incoming/outgoing server setting to match “Default Settings” from the first page.
  7.  Click “Done”
